The submissions deadline for the Workshop on Organizing Workshops, Conferences, and Symposia for Computer Systems (WOWCS ‘08) is approaching. Please submit all work by February 15, 2008.
Taking place April 15, 2008, the Workshop on Organizing Workshops, Conferences, and Symposia for Computer Systems (WOWCS ‘08) will bring together organizers of conferences focused on computer systems and other interested people to discuss the issues they confront. The workshop has several goals: to discuss certain contentious policy issues, to preserve folklore and experience in written form, and to evaluate tools and techniques for conference organizers. The workshop invites position paper submissions on these and any other relevant topics.

The submissions deadline for the First USENIX Workshop on Large-scale Exploits and Emergent Threats (LEET ‘08) is approaching. Please submit all work by February 11, 2008.
Taking place April 15, 2008, LEET ‘08 will focus on the underlying mechanisms used to compromise and control hosts, the large-scale “applications” being perpetrated upon this framework, and the social and economic networks driving these threats. Intriguing preliminary results and thought-provoking ideas will be strongly favored and papers will be selected for their potential to stimulate discussion in the workshop.
